IUIH Institute for Urban Indigenous Health

The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development, and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region. Family Wellbeing Services aims to strengthen community and to build the capacity of families to raise healthy children and support them to achieve their potential.  The program attempts to address identified gaps in early intervention and prevention, care coordination and family development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families. Family capacity building will be achieved through the application of intensive, customised support and coordination of care for families; and linking into practical services and supports.
