Murri Watch has a multidisciplinary team delivering services across the state, to both adults and young people aged 10-17 years who are detained in Watchhouses, that need a safe place to rest and/or are homeless or at risk of homelessness

Responsibilities

Please ensure you include your resume, cover letter and a short one page response to the selection criteria below:

SC1        A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and of the contemporary issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people today.

SC2         Sound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, families and communities.

SC3      Sound interpersonal skills including experience in conflict resolution, liaising, networking, and negotiating outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people with a range of community, government, and non-government service providers.

SC4        Data entry skills including a demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft programs including Sharepoint, Teams, Word, and Outlook.

SC5        Ability to plan and implement effective and culturally appropriate case plans, particularly in relation to young people who are in crisis.

SC6        Demonstrated ability to work effectively either individually or as part of a team responsible for the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of services to marginalised clients.
